DIRECTIONS
Nanyuki is the nearest town – a ca. 30 minute drive from the main Lolldaiga Hills Ranch gate, ca 1 hour from Lolldaiga Hills Farm House.
In Nanyuki there is a Chandarana supermarket (Cedar Mall), as well as smaller shops and cafes. For lunch, we recommend Cape Chestnut (0705 250650) (go through Nanyuki town towards Nairobi and you will see a sign on the left). Ten minutes out of Nanyuki towards Nairobi is Barney’s (0723 310064) at Nanyuki Airstrip. Chestnut Café, located opposite the Nanyuki Airstrip, does delicious lunches and snacks. A further 5 minutes out is the Trout Tree (0726 281704), where you can eat fresh trout and, perhaps, see black-and-white colobus monkeys.
Nanyuki has branches of Barclays, KCB, Stanbic, GT and Standard Chartered banks.
In the event that you require medical attention, the Nanyuki Cottage Hospital (062 32666) is advised. Lolldaiga Hills does not have its own airstrip and in the event that a medical air evacuation is required please liaise with the General Manager to arrange the use of an airstrip on a nearby ranch.
